Waxwing is an easy-to-use FPGA module featuring AMD Spartan-6 FPGA. This module features the AMD XC6SLX series FPGA in the CSG324 package. This module takes care of FPGA, Configuration, DDR, and power so you can invest more time and effort into your application-specific aspects of the hardware development. The module is pre-populated with 512Mb DDR memory and 128Mb SPI flash for FPGA configuration. A large number of IOs and important signals including JTAG are available on the high pin to count low profile connectors (DF40C-90DP) on the backside of the module. Numato has made available carrier boards and development boards that can be used for evaluation and development with this FPGA module. At only 40mm x 36.5mm in size, this module packs a lot of power in such a small footprint. Customization services are available for OEM customers. Please contact us for more details.

An Electronic Dice is a digital version of a traditional dice, which generates a random number (1 to 6) and displays it using LEDs or a 7-segment display. It uses components like a 555 timer, counter IC (like CD4017), or microcontrollers such as Arduino to simulate dice rolls electronically.

A Light Activated Motor Controller using IC 555 is a simple electronic circuit that turns a motor ON or OFF based on the presence or absence of light. It uses a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) as a light sensor and the 555 timer IC in a comparator mode, along with an LED to indicate the motor’s status.

A Touch ON/OFF Switch is an electronic circuit that allows a device to be turned on or off by simply touching a sensor pad or wire, instead of using a mechanical switch. It works by detecting a small electrical signal from the human body (capacitive or resistive touch) and using that to toggle the output state.
These switches are commonly used in modern electronics, home automation, and DIY projects due to their durability, aesthetic appeal, and user-friendly operation.

A digital ruler is an electronic measuring device that provides precise measurements of length, width, or depth. Unlike traditional rulers or tape measures, digital rulers use sensors and electronic displays (often LCD or LED) to show measurements accurately, usually in both metric (mm/cm) and imperial (inches) units. They are widely used in engineering, design, woodworking, tailoring, and education where precision is critical.
